My blank page has defaulted to a saved work help?

A few months ago, I created a word document and saved it. Since then,
everytime i want to open a new blank document to work on, this saved doc
opens up instead of a blank page. Pls help as I find it frustrating and don't
know what to do. I use Microsoft Word 2007.

was written for earlier versions, the principles are the same. Note that the
Normal template in Word 2007 is Normal.dotm.
