My backup files are locked!

Okay, I had to perform a distructive clean of my computer, and i can't
get into one of my backup files. Here's the problem: under my
computer/local disc c/my backup/ documents and settings/ then I try
to open my profile account that holds my documents but I had secured a
password to log into my old profile so my access is denied to access
that folder. I know the password to the folder, but it doesn't allow me
to open it, drag the folder into shared documents, or even allow me to
set its properties so I can have access.

Please help me out.

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ and download the boot
disk, this will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system

How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP?:
http://www.winxptutor.com/ownership.htm

For Microsoft Windows XP Professional, you need to disable Simple File
Sharing, in order to see the Security tab. To disable simple file sharing,
follow these steps: Click Start, and then click My Computer. On the Tools
menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab. In the Advanced
Settings section, clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box.
Click OK.
