My .avi Videos Don't Play Right in PP

I am using Office 2007.

I made my first ever PP presentation this morning. I included some
..avi videos I'd made earlier. These videos play properly in Windows
Media Player v11. They play, but do not display in PP. When I try to
play the slide pages containing them the screen is black. It
progresses like it was playing the videos, and the sound is there and
correct, but the screen is totally black.

Any ideas?

Well, when I set them to play full screen they work??????????

Convert your video file to a wmv video file, as powerpoint likes this type
the best these days....
