I am lost.
I still do NOT know how to upgrade browser - more specifically I don't know/can't find out/which browser they mean.
I THINK IT IS the browser used by Outlook Express which is N'scape 4.7.
I CANNOT find out how to upgrade this particular browser. Outlook Express seems "bonded" to this version.
HELP HELP HELP
I can't even find a Outlook Express upgrade....they refuse me because I don't have Netscape 7.1... This is pure hell.
Thanks
liz/Shuggi

Outlook Express is part of (i.e., bonded to) Internet Explorer, not Netscape.

You have to tell us what you want to upgrade, i.e., Internet Explorer or
Netscape.

If it's Internet Explorer, you have tell us what version you are using now.
Here's how you find that out:

How to Determine Which Version of Internet Explorer Is Installed

If you want to upgrade Netscape, you're asking in the wrong newsgroup.

Okay. The problem that you're describing now is different than your original
post.

If you're having problem's with attachments in Outlook Express, here's the first
thing to try:

Launch OE and click on Tools > Options > Security [tab]. Under Virus Protection
section, uncheck "Do not allow attachments.....", then click on the Apply & OK
buttons.

Let me know if that was the problem you were having.

The problem that you're describing is not an e-mail issue. You appear to be
having problems with the web-based newsreader. Sorry but I'm not familiar with
this vehicle.

I would strongly suggest using OE as your newsreader and access the newsgroups
directly.

Be sure to "mong" your e-mail address before logging on. Look in OE's help
(index - "news reading, getting started") for setup info.

Here's a direct link to the MS server and this group:

Error blew away last male (I mean mail)
No wrong problem.
Example...your E Mail comes in, I double click on "Click here to reply"
and there is NO LINE...deadsville...no connection.
To get to you I have a twisted system in Internet Ex I use.
Ever since I knocked off NS 4.7 this has been the issue.
How do I connect Internet Ex to take up its rightful position
as useful functioning adjunct to my E Mail?????

OK let's forget N'scape 4.7 - I just uninstalled it anyway.
Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106IS
128 bit
A load of updates

NOW I guess the issue is, can we now "make" I'Exp-6
automatically "open" any attachments received inside OE6 mail.
In other words recreate the "bond".

Right now my mail is DEAD...all attachments stagnant.
Thanks for the reply.
I am home - - waiting!!!!!

Apart from using Outlook Express as yr newsreader, as per the suggestion
You should post this to microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.setup news
group
for advice

Dump Norton.

Don't allow ANY 3rd. party software to dictate what browser you use. A
browser is a personal and private choice and ain't got nuthin' to do with
third party software.

I dumped Intuit for this same reason.
