Must type in http:// in ie 6

I have a problem with internet explorer 6. In the adress-
field i always must type http:// in front of www. If i
don´t the webpage doesn´t load. Before it was enough that
i typed in www.-adress(http:// came automaticly). How do
i correct this?

I am also having this problem. I have tried re-installing
IE, re-installing all of the networking and re-applying
SP4 for Windows 2000, but am still having the problem.
