Must turn off editor for stationary

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2003. I have a logo for my company
that is an html file. I want to use this as stationary
and have it appear automatically. The problem is that
the stationary picker is grayed out. In order for me to
pick stationary I have to uncheck using the box that
says "Use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor". I want
this option too. Basically I want to select stationary
and have Word be used as the e-mail editor.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Chuck

Hi ChuckW -
I have a quick question: Does your logo show up when you
send it to print? If so, how did and where did you
construct it? i.e. Within Word or via the Outlook
signature editor?

As far as the gray out on the signature picker, are you
talking about the pull-down picker (under the Insert\Auto
Text option) or within the signature selection line within
the signature edit box?

I know you need at least one signature to exist for the
pull-down to list it.

Eric,

Thanks for your help. The logo was an html file that
someone created for us. We went to stationary and had it
point to the location of this html file. After I send a
note, when I go into Sent items and print a note the logo
does appear. It also appears in another e-mail system
(Yahoo) when I print the received note.

The problem we are having is that when you go to tools =>
Options => Mail Format => The top section is "Message
Format". There is a box that says "Use Microsoft Word to
edit e-mail messages". If we check this then the second
section called Stationary and Fonts gets grayed out and
the logo does not appear when we send a message. If we
leave it unchecked then the logo does appear but we
cannot use MS Word as our e-mail editor which we want to
have.

Any ideas? This is a fairly new Dell Laptop with XP and
Office 2003.

Thanks,

Chuck

editing stationary with Microsoft Word

I was looking for a solve for this problem myself, and this is what I've found out.

You can leave the "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages" checkmarked and still do stationary, you just have to do it through Microsoft Word.

Go into Word and go to Tools -> Options

Select the "General" Tab and at the bottom should be an "E-mail Options" button.

Click that and then you can get into the Word stationary editing.

If you need more help once you've gotten there, let me know.
