When I log onto my user account name the music at the
beginning log on makes a loud cracking sound. What is
this and how do I fix it. I am not computer literate, so
be specific. Thanks

Distortion is often a result of having the system sound volume as opposed to
the volume control on your speakers set to high. Open Control Panel, open
Sounds and Audio Devices, under Device Volume click Advanced, move the
slider under Play Volume lower, you may need to experiment to see at what
level the problem disappears.
