Music Starting Problem

I have created slide presentations in Powerpoint 2003 with music, but with
2007, when I add the music, and tell it to play automatically, it doesn't
work. However if I right-click and bring up the drop down menu during the
show, the music is playing (and has been playing). It seems like it is
working, but is not in the forground. I have tried increasing the imbedded
size limit, bringing the sound icon to the front, and all kinds of delays and
other options. I have retried the process several times with different music.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Select the speaker icon on the slide and then in the Sound Options chunk
there is a little drop down arrow bottom right.

Click this and then in the dialog click the little speaker icon labelled
"sound volume"

Could there be either a mute or low volume set there?

No, I have checked that. The music is not too low or muted, because it is
playing... you just cannot hear it until you right-click on the screen and
the drop-down menu shows up. Then you hear the sound fine. It almost seems
like it is a front/back issue... like the presentation has the priority with
sound on a back window or something. Really strange.
