Music Slide transition incompatibility

I am having enormous difficulty getting my slide show
presentation to automatically forward with music. However,
it will automatically forward when the music is removed. I
have tried repeatedly to paste or copy in music, with the
same results.

When I try to manually advance the slides, the music
stops. When the music stops, then I can advance the
slides. The music was inserted from CDs that were copied
onto my HD. Darn thing should work. Anybody have any
ideas?
