I've created a slideshow and inserted music to play with the slides. I copied the songs from a cd to my hard drive. I have 5 songs that play throughout the slideshow. All but the last song play. I cant get the last song to play at all, not as a preview or during the slideshow. Please help. Thanks.

Can you play the last sond in Media Player (not Windows Media Player)? To
start Media Player, type 'mplay32' in the Start Menu | Run dialog box in
Windows XP.

How did you copy the songs from the CD? Look here for more info:

If you are using PowerPoint 2003, you might want to create a playlist
comprising the 5 songs:

If the song plays fine in Media Player, you should normally have no problem
playing them in PowerPoint. Also, try inserting that last song in another
slide and see if it works?

About playlists, that feature is supported only in PowerPoint 2003 - and it
also works within the free PowerPoint 2003 Viewer. The playlist feature uses
Windows Media Player, so you'll need that to be installed on any system
that's going to play the finished presentation. Here's the URL again:

Thanks for the info. I can play the song in media player (mplay32). I am
pretty new to using powerpoint so i dont know if i added the songs the
correct way. What i did is i added the first song to the first slide and
then put in how many slides to play through. On the next slide i added the
second song and so on. They all work fine except for the last song. I copied
the songs using windows media player. Can i create a playlist that will just
play the songs in order without attaching them to a particular slide. Thanks
again for your help.
