Music Editing - volume question

I have MovieMaker Version 5.1.4026.0 (Do I need an upgrade?)

Is there a way to adjust the music volume level during a single audio
clip...so that the music level comes down in order to hear on-screen dialogue
and then the music level can come up again? I am only able to adjust the
volume level of an ENTIRE music clip..have not figured out how to create
variable volumd levels within a single music clip. Help!

Movie Maker doesn't have such a feature.... you can split the clip on the
timeline into a few parts and adust the volume level of each...or you can
take the audio to an audio-editing software package to edit it there, and
bring it back into your project.
