music echoes

hi, I have a sound problem I need help with. I don't remember what I did to
the sound setting. when I listen to the music on the computer, the music
echoes. It is like listening to the music in a big giant empty warehouse. I
remember there is a setting to change the setting. however, it was years ago
and i forgot where it is.

Does anyone know how to change it back.

You did not state your brand/make soundcard.
If you are using a Creative (SoundBlaster) soundcard, open the Creative Wave
Studio and under Audio see if Echo is checked. If it is, uncheck it. You can
also run Creative Diagnostics.

I have Sigma Tel C-Major Audio built-in sound chip for my Asus M6B00N series

I got it! All I have to do is to turn off 3D depth volumn.
