Music CD

(1) I successfully recorded CD pieces to a blank, music
CD that was preformatted. Songs played very nicely. Then
I formatted that same CD music disk so that I could put
new songs on it. I keep getting the message that 'media
player cannot record to the RW CD'. Why is this?

(2) When I was formatting the above music CD, there was
a 'label' box to fill in; I left it blank. Is "lable" in
this formatting context just the name of the disk? Is it
necessary to write something in the label box?

Thank you for your help.

The disk was probably closed the first time you recorded
Depending on the program you used to record, you may be able to reopen.
Since its an CD-RW you can always go from CDRW to folder, erase CDRW and
start over

Thanks, Dagger, for your response. What do you mean when
you say that the "disk was probably closed the first time
you recorded it"?
