This is on a home pc (xp) that has cable modem. I
recently switched to cable internet and my new company i
use outlook to get my emails. My wife would like to get
her emails without going to start and switchuser. is
there a way that when i click outlook to get my emails it
will prompt me for witch user and she can select her email
account and password and loggin without going to start
switch user. I would imagin i can set up a profile for
her so that we dont have to share the same inbox and email
address?

Yes you can configure an Outlook profile and setup your wifes account in
the new profile and she can check her mail from your Windows profile. Keep
in mind that if she also checks her mail in her Windows profile she needs
to make sure both Outlooks point to the same Personal Folder File (.pst) or
she won't see the same e-mails in both Outlooks. Also keep in mind that a
..pst file can only be accessed by one Outlook at a time.

Ok now the process will depend on the version of Outlook so here are some
links to articles that explain how to create a new Outlook profile.
Outlook 2003, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;829918
Outlook 2002, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;287072
Outlook 2000, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;195718

I hope this information is helpful.
