multiple page template + mirror pages

[sorry for the crosspost but I'm not sure if I'm asking newbie stuff
here]

Hello,

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to create a multiple
page template in word?

The front page should contain a title and some pictures.
The second page an introduction.
The following pages the table of contents (automatically generated)
And then the actual content (and I really don't know if this can be
done) . All pages must be 3 columns the first column not very wide the
second and third column wider for the text, on some pages the first
column will contain pictures, on some nothing. The content pages must
be mirrorred from each other (so the columns with the images don't
show through te paper on the next page)

Where do I start? Can multiple page templates be done in word?
Do I work with master page layout, or not?
The Word helpfile isn't very helpfull...

All tips on how I should start with this are greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Bert

Yes you can do it, and without much difficulty. A template is just a
document -- it can be as long and as complicated as you like, containing
whatever you like. You might find it easier to create an ordinary document
first, that has all the content and characteristics you're after, then use
SaveAs to save it as a template.
