I want to hook up a second monitor to my machine but under the display tab won't give me the option of screen 1 and 2 for multiple monitors. it is just a picture of a computer screen. I need help on what i need to do to make it so i can have two monitors hooked up for a larger viewing area. thanks.

You forsure need a video card that will work with 2 monitors. Matrox I know
makes a few good ones that works with duel monitors. Once you have that
installed, everything will work just find and you will like it! Its a nice
way to work.

I hope this helps

Thanks

Some systems require that you have 1 video card per monitor and if you have
an on-board video card, that doesn't count. you need to disable the
on-board card. I have dual monitors on my system with 2 video cards and I
love it. I would not go back to using just one monitor. I do a lot of
programming and it is handy to have multiple windows open on several
monitors. My computer is an HP and I had to disable my on-board card and I
bought 2 additional cards.
