I have a PC with built in video and a AGP slot. If I buy a AGP video
adapter, Can I have support for two monitors? If I add a 3rd adaptor (PCI)
will I have support for 3 monitors?

Thanks in Advance

If the motherboard doesn't disable it when you plug the new card in.
Please go to Start, Help and Support and look up "multiple monitors" for
the required information.

As with most onboard video card, depends if the motherboard BIOS would
disable it.

Most AGP video card now provide 2 to 3 video outputs. Most of the ime its 1
DVI-I and 1 VGA out. Sometimes you can get a SVideo out connections.

Please note that for multi-monitor support, you would need the following:

1) AGP or PC card that supports mutli-monitor that can support it.

2) That all the cards (AGP and PCI) use the same drivers. It is not
recommended to install different video card drivers for each.

Also note that most onboard (bulti-in) video cards are very limited in
support.

Thanks very much for the info. I'll purchase a motherboard without built in
video and get an AGP and two PCI cards of the same brand and see how that
works out.

Regards,

Alex

You might be better served by using two "dual head" cards. Windows XP
"supports up to ten" monitors.
