Dear Users,
I have Win XP pro in my Compaq Laptop with Nivida display driver.
When I looked at display settings, I'm seeing two options as follows

1. Multiple Monitor on Nivida xxxx ( current setting)
2. Default Monitor on Nivida xxxx

'Multiple monitor' supports only 60 Hz display freq, But 'Default Monitor
supports upto 100 Hz.
So I wanted set 'Default Monitor to have higher display freq. But after
applying the settings, if I open
the display settings again, it is still pointing to 'Multiple Monitor' not
'Default Monitor'.
I tried my level best but with no help.

I really wonder where did this 'Multiple Monitor' come from at first
place...when I don't have any other
display adopters( I don't think Compaq supplies additional one).

I want to get rid of Multiple Monitor and use 'Default Monitor'.

Please help me.

Thanks and Regards
Kumaran

Windows XP supports multiple monitors, where the desktop can
be split between different monitors. This is usually a function of the
Video driver that enables or disables it.

You need to drill into your nVidia driver options and locate the
check box that turns this on or off.
