I know of the multiple icons issue in the system tray being a known, but you
are probably the first I have heard from concerning Tight VNC.

Ditto.

I have some machines running UltraVNC that aren't displaying this symptom.

I'm not sure whether the TightVNC is really involved in the issue, or
whether this is a performance issue independent of the TightVNC
installation.

If TightVNC is blown away, does the symptom stop appearing?

Problem appear when you have remote session via VNC server.
None of other apps behave in similar way. I think that it is related to
MAS only.

Thanks, Robert. Now that you mention it, I think I have seen this mentioned
before, early in the beta. (i.e. the performance issue when a remote session
is in progress.)

Can you post the TightVNC versions involved, both client and server? That'd
make the repro job easy, if they haven't already fixed this one.

Hi Bill,

I am using TightVNC development 6 (Release candidate).
I know, I know - do not run beta with beta - but TightVNC is pretty
stable and none of other apps has same issue.

I'm not worried about the beta with beta issue--just having information that
makes it easy to replicate your issue. I'll leave it up to Microsoft to
decide if they want to fix an issue with a beta product or wait for release.
If I were them, I'd fix it, in this case. Beta's can go on a long time, and
have lots of users.
