multiple mailbox notification

I'm looking to figure out how to create a rule that will notify me when new
mail arrives in the multiple mailboxes I maintiain, either by alert or
custome email.
Has anyone had success in Outlook XP?

Multiple mailboxes? Are you using Exchange?
 
Yes!
We use Exchange 2003 and Outlook XP as our corporate standard at the moment.
Client mailbox and a generic mailbox set for receiving mail notifications
for Internal Intranet use etc.

Log in as the owner of the generic mailbox and create a rule that sends you a
mail message.
