New mail notification for multilple mailboxes

Hi,
I am looking to get Outlook to notify me when I receive a new email, it
currently does this for my main mailbox, however if an email arrives to one
of the other mailboxes I have open it doesnt.
The secondary mailboxes have been added via Email accounts --> ... Add
Additional Mailboxes

I am running a combination of Outlook 2000 & 2003 of an 2000 server, so
adding the second mailboxes inbox to "favorites folder" isn't always an
option.

is this possible as I do not seem to be able to create rules on additional
mailboxes, or is a 3rd party app required?

Nothing native will do this - maybe check out www.slovaktech.com ?
