Multiple Journals??

Is it possible to have multiple journals, configured to track e-mails from
different folks. For example to track Project A and the contacts associated
with that project and to have a second journal tracking Project B and its
associated contacts?

no, outlook will always automatically create items in the default one. You
can move them to other journal folders yourself later.

I am "constructing" my outlook tools for project management and similarly
have single contacts who cross various projects, and also external companies
with whom I interact for several clients. The way I have decided to organize
it is to establish new categories. Then I can filter based on the
categories, the contacts, "category and contact," or "contact and category."
I have used the color coding to designate the "type" of category.

My opinion is that for project management you should use a project management
tool. Microsoft makes one that integrates into Office somewhat, called
Microsoft Project. There's also a comprehensive free one called OpenProj
(http://openproj.org/)
