Multiple issues

Yesterday the Norton AutoProtect toggled off. Norton suggested a full scan.
That did not find any virus. Next was to uninstall and then reinstall.

Add/Remove unistall hand up so I cannot unistall norton (or any other
programs)

When you right click and select properties on my computer, it does not show
them.

Add/remove does not work correctly and I cannot open a link on a web page in
a new window.

MS config locks if anything is changed.

Similar though not exact issues appear on all three of my networked computer

Tried a restore on one computer and repair reinstall on another. Neither
fixed the problem.

When I run in safe mode, system seems OK. Except that I cannot unistall
programs. according to the error message this is normal.

I am on SP2.

Head over to Symantec and download the Norton uninstall cleaner. Noroton is
known for having problems with the Add/Remove program entries for their
software.

I will do that. This may help on two of the computers. Howeer one has
macafee rather than Norton. The macafee machine also does not allow the task
bar to be used.
