Multiple instances of rndal.exe

Why do I have multiple instances of rndal.exe processes running, which slow down the computer to a crawl? And how do I get rid of this problem?

Real Player or Real One phone home software, or spyware. Open Real
Player and disable all these startup and call home options. This is
quite an insidious piece of software, you have to reign it in.
