I just set up a new computer and it needs to have 3 hard
drives. I keep getting an error message at start up if
the 2 slaves are plugged in? Is it possible to have 3 IDE
drives in WIN 2000? The drives worked in the old system.

Thank you

'2 Slaves'??? IDE channel 0; 1 master + 1 slave: IDE channel 1; 1 master
should work. Also, is this a clean install of W2K? It won't support taking a
HDD with an installed system from one box and putting it in a completly
different piece of kit - too many differences.

Yes, this is a clean install of W2K on a new hdd. I have 1
master and 1 slave on IDE channel 0 and I have the CD as
master and 3rd hdd as slave on IDE channel 1.

Thanks

What error message do you get?

What sizes are the HDDs?
