Multiple graphic cards

I have a dell work station 670 with ati radeon quad display( pci) that
works fine The problem is i want to add a ati 256mb X700 ( pcix) but
the drivers won't start. The device manager shows code 10 with yellow
exclamation marks. Is there a max number of drivers that can be used ?

xp can support 10 monitors

Pro can support 10. If I remember correctly, Home can only support 5.
