Multiple direct serial connection on 2003 RRAS server

Hello,

We have been doing some tests on direct serial connection from XP box
to windows 2003 server RRAS manager. The connection works fine but when
we introduce an extra cable, the connection ceased when it tries to
authenticate. We are thinking the introduction of extra cable length
might be to blame.

Has anyone experience the same problem? What is the most likely remedy?

Think we have found a bug in the configuration; we specify not to use
hardware flow control, but for some reason, the RRAS manager still uses
it for user authentication. We have to loop pin 4 & 6 back at both end
of the serial connectors...
