Multiple dialers on bootup

When I boot up my computer I get multiple
instances of the dialer(The short version). It does not dial but I
have to click cancel multiple times to get rid of them.
Is there a way to set the dialer so that it will only run when I
specifically want it to. (by clicking on the dial button) I do not
like the idea of a program doing it automatically.
