multiple database.mdb created on close

Hi all,
I'm getting multiple database.mdb files created when I open and then close a
database on a network drive. The names of the created files are
incremental.....database1.mdb, database2.mdb..etc. These files are
functional.
Is this a bug ?!?! - Using Access 2007.

If you have "compact on close" set, then I think it's a bug. It seems
to not be affecting too many people, or I'm just the crabbiest about
it. Take off the "compact on close", they'll stop being created...

Let me know if that's the case, so I know there's another crabby
user...
 
compact on close................that explains why this was happening to only
a few of my older databases.
