Multiple Boots?

Just recently my computer started going through the
bootup process anywhere from between 2 to 6 times before
it acutally makes it to the desktop... What happened?

This might be due to a hardware problem. Faulty RAM, poor power supply or
poor electrical connection, loose connection inside system. If the system is
on warranty then contact the vendor. If off warranty and you feel
comfortable opening the case then check all connections to ensure everything
is firm.
