multiple booting routine

When I turn my computer on for the first time, the
program seems to repeat the boot at least twice. It
completes the first boot and displays full color icoms
while showing the hourglass. It then goes dark and either
shows a pastel light show or re-establishes the icoms,
colors them and then competes the boot and is ready for
use. Is this a flaw of the XP system or can it be caused
by one of my other software programs? Thanks

A hour glass on boot-up?
Try shutdown,on starting enter the BIOS(usually F1 Help
key)go to exit page,select,load set-up defaults,then
save changes and exit BIOS.
