Multiple accounts in separate mail folders, not possible!

Dear reader,

I have one microsoft exchange account and a new gmail account. I want both
to use outlook. This worked perfectly, both accounts delivered the new emails
to separate folders. However this is not possible anymore. All new emails are
delivered to one folder.

If i change the folder to which new emails are delivered to a different one,
this changes for both accounts. I cannot direct separate folders to the
different mail accounts anymore, only the same folder. How could i solve this?

The Exchange account and all POP accounts in a single mail profile have
always shared a single delivery location for as long as Outlook has
supported both types of accounts in one profile.

You solve it by using rules to soft the mail based on the receiving account
or your place each account in its own mail profile. Those two solutions are
the only two that have every been available.

That's impossible. Are you sure it was Outlook you were using? The
only email client I've seen that works that way (separate folders) is
Mozilla.

Outlook will create a separate folder for an MSN or Hotmail account, but
it uses one inbox folder for POP acounts and Exchange
