I don't burn DVDs every day, so I can't say exactly when multi-session DVD
burning stopped working. But I definitively was able to burn muti-session DVD
at the end of October, so it must be the Windows updates of November 2006
that screwed up my PC. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

What software do you use to burn DVDs? You certainly didn't burn any DVDs at
the end of October (or any other time) using the native WIndows XP burning
software, since that has no capability to burn DVDs at all.

I thought you can only multi session DVD+R's NOT DVD-R's thats why you
can't read the first session, you can burn more than one session but the
last session is readable only ..

It's DVD+R, and I was able to run all the sessions before.

I'd like to add that I have a LG DVD-ROM and a Pioneer DVD burner that are
installed on different IDEs, and both lost their ability to read
multi-session DVDs after I applied the November 2006 Microsoft updates and
the DRM patch.
