I am getting the following error when I try to open my database FE (with or
without shift key pressed). The database won't open:

"The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'MSysDb.' Make
sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name
correctly."

Just before I created a new form and modified one form, I made a backup. I
successfully openned the backup and tried to import the two forms. When I
try to access the corrupt database to copy the two forms I get the same
error.

Please help me recover the five hours I spent on the forms!!!!
Thanks!!

Maybe this will help, though I am not sure.

You may be able to open the DB by holding down the SHIFT key, and get
the to main screen. From there go to the code view (ctrl+g works) and
compile the database.

I have to do this fairly often when the db cries that "it can't find
components...", but it is lying.

HTH,
