MSVC32iMFC apllication error message

Hi
When I start up my dell 4550 I get the error message:
MSVC32Imfc APPLICATION HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND
NEEDS TO CLOSE. I HAVE WINDOW xp HOME EDITION. Please
help me. thanks
