ROTFLMAO.

No spend some of their $49 billion cash horde on fixing already existing
flaws, instead of on research & development projects like PA & DRM that
are of absolutely no benefit to the End User!
Why, oh why, do you even bother with these newsgroups?

Why do you bother with me, if my opinion is so uninportant to you?
You are a
perfect definition of a troll.

Who's worse? The troll or the idiot knowingly reponding to the troll?
Not that I think I'm a troll, but you obviously do, so why do you keep
responding to me then?
Man, you sure crave attention.

And you're a masochist!

Well, I didn't have the exact date handy.

Sorry.

And I know that my server's uptime is
27 Days, 0 Hours, 56 Minutes, 28 Seconds
And I applied the patch almost as soon as it was released (before it was on
WindowsUpdate). So technically if my server was up for 27 days and 56
minutes, I applied the patch 28 days ago.

Then, I'm confused as to your use of '27-28 days, ago' versus '27'. Or,
have you completely left behind the grasping of calender days? Doesn't take
a mathmetician or a rocket scientist, ya know. Simple addition, and
subtraction.

Please read the document on the link that you have put into your own post:

It says : "Customers who had previously applied the security patch MS03-026
are protected"

Sorry for those who didn't apply the patch......
It is not fair to accuse MS because they ommited to apply the patch.

When you buy a car, is it the car manufacturer that comes to your house in
order to learn you how to avoid accidents, how to avoid dammage to be
brought to your car, how to avoid over-consumption, etc ...??

No! It's time MS stops making patch work quilts! Most computer users
can't even organize their Start Menus, let alone manage plugging all the
holes in MS's swiss cheese software, and for what people have to pay for
MS software, MS needs to take greater responsibility for their defective
products!

And For and GM should make cars that don't break down and run forever
with no re-fueling or re-charging.

Still haven't joined the real world, huh Kurt?

David

Maybe something should be done first to put virus-writers, hackers and
the alike in jail.

There is nothing wrong about hackers. It the crackers that csuse the
problems.

Anyone that goes beyond simply using something can be called a hacker.
You ever do work on your car? You're a hacker.

In computer terms. Hackers are usually the ones that find a flaw and
inform the vendors and security firms. They don't usually post the flaw in
public unless the creator of the software fails to address the problem. And
they don't write virus's or worms.

Crackers, on the other hand, are the ones that exploit the flaws to cause
mischief. and, guess what, cracking is already against the law and when
caught, the writer of MSBlast will probably serve time in jail.

Wow, MS took around 24 hours to assemble a team to investigate a new
worm!!!!! A worm that exploits a flaw they had a patch out for close to a
month. Imagine that.

When was the last time you opened the door to your computer, climbed in,
started it up, and drove it to the store you idiot? Your analogy doesn't come
from the real world either, just that vacuum in that empty skull of yours.

Well John,
Why don't YOU go write us the Perfect Operating System, then write us
the Perfect set of programs for it and while you are at it, develop and
build the Perfect Computer system to run your Perfect OS and Programs.
I just know that being so perfect yourself, you will be able to do all
this some time in the next decade or so.. Good Luck,
