When I start up and dial up my earthlink internet connection I receive
an error message - the application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005). click on OK to terminate the application. the
application to which it refers is msprcc32.exe.

I click on ok twice and it goes away.

How can I get rid of this error message permanently?

I struck out with google. I called earthlink and they referred me to a
Microsoft site that related to the (0xc0000005) part of the error
message. I checked it out and it was related to disk defragmenter. My
disk defragmenter does not run at startup so that has nothing to do
with it. They also sent me to another site that suggested deleting a
registry string. I searched registry and I didn't have the string.
Earthlink then gave up. If you find a solution please post it here -
TIA.

Greetings Godfather,
Need some more information.
Are you running XP?
Have you tried to remove the connection? Then query the modem from the
modem properties in the device manager to make sure the computer is
finding the modem.
Are you using an Earthlink CD to setup the connection? I don’t like to
use ISP’s CD’s but some of them you have to.
I assume it is clean of all adware & malware.

Best regards,
ultra_classic :)
