Hi, I have always used the bitmap editor Paint.exe for
Screen Capture (Print Screen) etc... On downloading a
different browser from my ISP it appears that my Paint
programme has departed (as did my media player) anyway,
how do I get the Paint programme back?
Thanks

If you are running Windows XP, you should
still have MS Paint. If you go to...Start /
Programs / Accessories / Paint...is it missing?
You can reinstall MS Paint...as follows:
===
You can remove MS Paint if you go to...
Add-Remove Programs / Add-Remove
Windows Components...
Go to...Accessories and Utilities (details
button) / Accessories ) details button)...
Uncheck...Paint...OK / OK / Next...Paint
will be removed.
Reverse the process to reinstall it.
(your WinXP disk will be required)
===
BTW, Yves suggested the following freebie for
capturing screen shots...it works very well. I have
it set so all I have to do is:
1) Press...PrintScreen...
2) Drag a box around the content I wish to save...
3) Press enter...
The shot is immediately saved as a .jpg in a
folder of my choice.
