Some JPEG images will not open in MS Paint in Windows XP
SP2 saying that "Paint cannot read this file. This is not
a valid bitmap file, or its format is currently not
supported. I can open them in other applications, such as
Picture and Fax Viewer, and Microsoft Photo Editor.
Thumbnails come out fine in Windows Explorer

I believe that unless you have a version of Microsoft Office installed,
Paint will only open .bmp's. Try a different image editor or paint-type
program.

I already have Microsoft Office XP SP3 on my system. It
will open most other formats (PNG, GIF, TIFF)
