added 2G RAM and have 60G free hard drive.

Unable to open Wimail....
running (unfortunately,) Vista Home Premium.....am so fed up with Vista! If
laptop were not so expensive, I'd consider scrapping it! HATE VISTA! Nothing
but headaches! Thanks, Bill! Nothing like charging an arm and a leg for your
Beta testing! WHY doesn't MS TEST programs before unleashing on an
unsuspecting public??!!

"Litl Bits", by any chance are you are running McAfee or Norton antivirus?
Those are not compatible with Windows Mail and will need to be uninstalled
and replaced with a compatible antivirus like the free version of Avast:

That error message is the default error message for OE and WinMail and is
totally misleading. As others indicated, the problem could be antivirus
software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3). At this point the only
solution may be to move all the contents of the message store to another
directory and then WinMail should start again. Then you can import from the
moved message store. See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for details on the
message store location.
