MSO 2003 missing/not missing

Hi,

I have a few of MSO 2003 Pro programs as my desktop icons that work when I
click on them. I can not see the name MSO or its submenu on the
start\application and I have clicked on start\explorer to see if I see the
program and its submenu there but I did not see them there. How can I get to
see them again, because I don't have all of the programs as desktop icons and
I need to use the other programs that it has.

Thank You

Hi,

When I pressed the Customize button there are two tabs general and advanced
and there is no add button in either option.

Thank You

If you click Start\All programs does the menu not include Microsoft Office
and sub-menus for each application?

If not you can put each application like this:-

Start Button\run\ type in explorer enter
scroll down to My Computer
left click the + to expand
left click & expand documents and settings
left click & expand your user name
Find Start menu, expand it to show Programs
Go down to Program Files and open it
Find & expand Office11 [if this does not exist could be Office 10 depending
on your version]
Look for the applications you want in the right hand pane eg WinWord.exe.
When you have found it rig maximise the window and then right drag the icon
and drop it in Programs that you got ready above
Do the same for each application you want to access from the Start Menu

Hello Uncle John,
The instructions that you gave were the best. I have xcel word publisher
access outlook & powerpoint I put them under all users instead of my
username. I can't remember all the items that were in the submenu of
Microsoft Office 2003 PRO in the start\all programs menu can you help with
this. Also I would like to make a folder that looks like the rest in the menu
I believe it is name a program folder, to put the items xcel word acess etc
in that folder as submenu, so when I glide on top of the Microsoft Office
folder it shows me submenus that I can choose to use.

Thank You again for a well, descriptive explanation
Thank You

Hi,

Use Explorer to browse to the Programs Folder of All Users, select it with
the mouse [single click] go to the top of the Windows and left corner and
left click on File. From the drop menu click new folder, name it Office 2003
and hit enter. Then with explorer go back to Programs and right drag the
individual Office applications into the new folder.

You could also try this. Open MS Word, Click Help, from the drop Menu click
Repair, select to restore all shortcuts. You will need your Office CD
inserted to complete the repair. Afterwards if you find that you have too
many short cuts just delete those you do not want.

Hi Uncle John,

Once again you came up with another super excellent and very easy to do
instructions that worked. I Used the MS Word restore option that you gave.
You did not just give one solution but two which is great! That way if one
did not work I would not have to go back and request for help again since I
had another option.
Your instructions worked like a charm it was so easy. I would like to
mention that I did not have my CD inserted but from what I see so far I did
not need to. It did not ask me for my CD. I had it if I needed it.

You have been a life saver

Thanks again,
Bye
