I have a friend who wants to use MSN Messenger . I know nothing about it .

Is it safe to use .

Whats the .Net Pasport thing you need , does that mean that you have to register with microsoft ????

Will it hog recources as they only have a slow pc .

Is it easy to get rid of .

As they live miles away , is it easy to set up .

Any info would be greatly appreciated . I looked here but found little MSN stuff that was of use to me .

Did I ever tell you folk that you are just wonderful

You only need to know how to use it.

No software from MS is safe. Did you not see all the nasties that MSN sent to all their recipients. :D

Yes, you have to 'register' & yes, it will not work without a passport, a Visa, Import Licence, shotgun licence, driving license, four pictures of you, your wife & children, DOB, Nat. Insurance number, bank details ... and a PC.

Will it hog resources as they only have a slow PC .
A mouse uses resources, and will slow down a PC.

Is it easy to get rid of .
Impossible ... it is, as with most MS software, part of the OS. ;)

As they live miles away , is it easy to set up .
How long is the keyboard cable ?

Any info would be greatly appreciated . I looked here but found little MSN stuff that was of use to me .
