Is there an official microsoft component/sdk/document/anything for accessing
MSN messenger functionality in .NET ?

I need users to be able to send/receive messages to my service using
Messenger. I am currently using dotMSN but am a little concerned that if I
go live with it and MS change the messenger protocols I will be left with a
broken app (and probably some annoyed customers).
 
Yes, can we get a definitive answer on what the status of
Interop.Messenger.dll is?
