msn gaming zone, spades

I can not access the rooms, I can enter social competition as as guest;
however, when i try yo enter the other rooms I get "Can not connect to
server, unspecified error." I have tried every instruction offered. I am able
to connect by a friend sending me the zone file through msn messenger. I then
connect through internet explorer but not msn. When my zone list pops up I
can then connect through msn. Please advise
