msn e-mail - outlook won't fetch the mail

yesterday around 11:00 am CDT lost ability to see msn e-mail through outlook,
tried resetting, tried installing connection manager, nothing works - get all
kinds of error messages plus ones saying either my e-mail address or password
is incorrect - neither of which is true.
I can still see my mail via internet explorer and going to hotmail using the
same settings and passwords.

What has happened, loooks like several folks had the same problem at the
same time

Everyone with a hotmail account was sent an email about this. The deadline
was yesterday.
