MSN 8 conflicts with Windows XP

Several months ago I tried to load MSN 8 on my computer.
Big mistake, but the program had no warning about
incompatibilities, etc.!!!!

My OS is Windows XP Professional. I have Windows
Explorer v. 6.

MSN 8 "interfered" with Outlook---which I have since
fixed. However, when I now go to XP Suport and try to
access downloadable update programs, the Windows support
screen reads: "Thank you for your interest in Windows
Update. Windows Update is the online extension of
Windows that helps you to get the most out of your
computer. You must be running a Microsoft Windows
operating suystem to use Windows Update."

I cannot get past this message and cannot access the
update programs.

Internet Explorer also thinks I have only v. 5 on my
computer.

Any suggestions about how I can fix this?

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Lots of my clients use MSN with XP, so I don't think this is necessarily
a problem with the operating system. You should call MSN Tech Support
and have them walk you through some troubleshooting.
