How can I stop XP/SP2 loading msmsgs at startup? If you zap it in msconfig,
it just reasserts itself. I suppose it doesn't do any harm, but I object to
having softare I don't use loaded on the m/c

Hi Tony,

Also disable it in Outlook Express' options. Open MS messenger and uncheck
the options to load at start there too.

A - in its own Tools - Options, uncheck the 'Run when windows starts'
B - in Outlook Express, Tools - Options, uncheck the 'Logon to Windows
Messenger, and in View - Layout uncheck 'Contacts' (it passes the buck
for managing them to Messenger)
