Does anyone have the link for MSKB 307274 for Windows XP Pro? My friend needs
it. I cannot find it. Have looked all over the place. I would appreciate it a
great deal if anyone can give me the link to it. Thank you.

Thank you but I already have been there. That page does give you a direct
link to download the patch nor does it tell how to get that patch. I only
want the patch no service packs only the patch

Which one of them ,if you know the patch then go the windows updates
website and select the patch and download.
Here a link try and see if your missing piece is there:

I have been there to. When you check the fix list and find 307274 it just
carries you to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307274/. No links to download
the patch. Unless I am doing something wrong. Can you download just the patch
without downloading the service pack? I think you will go around in circles
like me if you try that method.

I still didn't get sorry but do you mean the Linguages package or which
patch in the SP1,SP2?.
Bear in mind MS stoped to support SP1 in Oct last year 2006.
Here is a link the nearest I could find for you hope this will help you:

I mean the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307274/ patch. Windows stops
responding during Windows XP shut down

SYMPTOMS
When you shut down your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, Windows may
intermittently stop responding (hang), and you receive the following message:
Saving your settings.
During this time, you may be able to move the pointer, but the computer may
not respond when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL.

The patch is small, I just cannot find it anywhere.

I realy don't know that patch which you are talking about, if it is there it
will be in the list of fixes I provided earlier.
But here another have a look:
