MSIE Launch Window

My launch window for MSIE 6.0 does not fill the screen. It is about an
inch low at the top. The sides and bottom fill the screen normally.
The 'reduction' button works well as F11. I have tried to drag the
borders but do not get the double arrow to change the size which
indicates that the browser is fully deployed. All other programs work
full screen normally and can be seen behind the shortened browser
window. I searched the MSKB and some of the news groups but could not
find answers with my key word search.

I am using XP Pro and MSIE 6.0. The problem started suddenly today.
Looking for clues.

The last time I heard of this, it was caused by spyware. Do have a spyware
purging programme. If not go to www.google.com and search for Spybot. It's
free, but you can make a voluntary contribution. I'd give you the address
here if I could remember it.
