I recently reinstalled XP (no reformat just reinstall) because IE quit
working (crashed every time I opened it). While it works for all intense
and purposes, I am unable to view yahoo profiles (for example, if I am
playing backgammon and click on my opponents ID to bring up their info
page, it won't load in an open page, it won't (as it normally does) open a
new window to display it, it just sounds a low beep. I dind't have this
trouble when IE was running before. So far this seems to be the only issue
I am having with it...anyone have this problem and find a resolution?

Thanks

You're probably right about the Spyware. I used to have a problem with Yahoo
links comeing up as "page cannot be found". After a while I looked at the
URL's and realized that if I deleted everything before the asterik
(including the asterik), that every Yahoo link seemed to have, that the link
would work. I always just assumed it was a problem with Yahoo, but now that
I run Adaware and Spybot S&D, along with keeping an eye on my msconfig and
registry I don't have the problem anymore.

Thanks for the repsonses..

I tried that link, and it came up with nothing. I cleaned out cookies, cache and all temp internet files. I can get intermittent profiles, for example, i click on one, and it brings the page up and loads the profile, click on another it does nothing, click the second one again, it might come up....it's quite strange really. I have reset the browser defaults and taken the Auto detect in Lan Settings off and it hasn't made any difference. Any other suggestions
